About Us

Real security. Real process. Real uptime

Most small businesses do not fail because they have “bad IT.” They fail because the business depends on tribal knowledge, untracked changes, and one person holding the whole place together while fires pop up all day.

That is where we come in.

We help small businesses build a security and operations mindset that keeps people working and keeps the business making money. Training is part of it. Compliance is part of it. But the real goal is simple:

Less downtime. Less chaos. More control.

Our Mission

To help small businesses stay operational and profitable by building practical cybersecurity, repeatable process, and calm readiness. We train people, align controls to NIST thinking, organize governance in an ISO 27001 style, and provide ongoing support so the program improves over time.

What we believe

IT support fixes problems.

Security prevents business-stopping problems.

Our focus is not chasing printers or playing hero. Our focus is building the processes and controls that keep the business operating every day.

When your email, payments, access, backups, and change control are handled correctly, the business runs smoother. People get more done. Leaders sleep better. And downtime stops being normal.

Core Values

Integrity First

Do the right thing, even when it’s inconvenient.

Integrity means we do not take shortcuts that put the business at risk. We don’t “make it work” in a way that creates a bigger failure later. We document changes, protect access, and prove what’s in place.

Example:

A quick fix would be sharing an admin password. Integrity is creating separate accounts, turning on MFA, and logging admin changes so accountability is real.

Service Before Self

We protect the mission: keep people working and the business earning.

Service means we prioritize operations and trust over ego. We show up to reduce downtime, prevent fraud, and keep the business moving, not to chase attention or play hero.

Example:

A project is late, and someone wants to skip backup testing. Service is slowing down long enough to test restores, because a failed recovery costs far more than a delayed task.

Excellence Through Discipline

Excellence is built with checklists, process, and repetition.

Excellence is not perfection or fancy tools. It’s consistent execution: ticketing, change control, access reviews, training, and steady improvement. We build systems that work even on the busiest days.

Example:

Instead of reacting to the same issues every month, we build a PM schedule, assign owners, track completion, and eliminate repeat failures over time.

Calm Under Pressure

Panic breaks things. Calm restores operations.

When something goes wrong, the goal is to reduce damage fast and return to normal operations. We train for the first 30 minutes and we practice the plan so it’s not guesswork.

Example:

A suspicious payment request comes in. Instead of rushing, the team follows the verification script, confirms using a known number, stops the fraud, and logs the attempt.

Proof, Not Promises

If you can’t prove it, it doesn’t protect you.

We create evidence that your program is real: training records, change logs, access reviews, backup test results, and incident notes. This builds trust with customers, partners, and contract opportunities.

Example:

You don’t just say “we train our people.” You have rosters, objectives, and completion records you can show.

Mission Before Ego

The mission is simple: keep the business operating and protect the people who depend on it.

Mission Before Ego means we don’t chase shiny tools, personal credit, or quick fixes that create bigger problems later. We choose the work that protects uptime, money, and trust, even when it’s not glamorous.

Example:

A flashy project could wait, but the email account recovery settings are weak and payment approvals are informal. Mission Before Ego is fixing the fundamentals first: MFA, verified payment change process, ticketing for work intake, and a tested restore plan, because that’s what keeps people working and money moving.

Meet The Team

Meet Justin - Owner and Instructor

Justin Bisted

I’m Justin, a seasoned IT professional, cybersecurity leader, commercial pilot and flight Instructor focused on one thing: keeping businesses operating and profitable.

My Story

I’ve been building and fixing systems since I was a teenager. I started my first computer business at 17 back in Brainerd, Minnesota, and I’ve been self-employed most of my career. Over the years I’ve worked with the kinds of clients that don’t have time for buzzwords, they need things to work, every day, without drama.

That long runway in the real world shaped how I think about technology. I learned early that “IT work” isn’t about gadgets, it’s about keeping businesses running. When email goes down, money stops moving. When a server fails, production slows. When someone gets tricked by a scam, the damage isn’t just technical, it’s financial, operational, and personal.

I also served in the Air Force, and that reinforced something I already believed: discipline matters. Checklists matter. Clear roles matter. Documentation matters. Not because it looks good on paper, but because it prevents mistakes and keeps teams moving when the pressure is on.

Later, aviation became a major part of my life and work. I’m a commercial pilot, multi-engine rated, and a Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII). Flying teaches you risk management the hard way: stay ahead of the aircraft, use simple procedures, and never rely on memory when the stakes are high. That mindset maps perfectly to cybersecurity.

Today, I bring all of that into my work in Las Vegas and world wide. I help small businesses build security that protects revenue and uptime, not security that just “sounds good.” I hold the CISSP and I focus on practical improvements: training that sticks, processes your team can follow, and controls that reduce real risk. For businesses that want to grow into government or enterprise work, I help build a NIST-minded approach and an ISO 27001 style security program that produces evidence and keeps improving over time.

That’s the point: not fear, not fluff, not fixing printers. Real security that keeps people working and keeps the business making money.

Why I teach security the way I do

I teach security, risk, and IT the same way I teach people how to fly, using the same FAA-driven teaching approach I was trained to use as a CFII.

In aviation, you don’t learn by memorizing trivia and hoping nothing goes wrong. You learn in a way that holds up when your heart rate spikes and the stakes are real. The FAA teaching style is built around clear objectives, simple steps, repetition, and scenario-based practice. It’s not about sounding smart. It’s about building a skill that shows up when it counts.

That mindset carries directly into cybersecurity and business.

Because when a scam hits your accounting team, or email gets compromised, or someone clicks the wrong thing, it’s not a theory problem. It’s a pressure problem. And the business owner is the one who pays the price: payroll stress, customer trust, production delays, and that quiet 2 a.m. worry that you’re about to get blindsided again.

What you can expect when you work with me

  • Plain English, no jargon and no shame

  • A focus on business outcomes: uptime, fraud prevention, and recovery

  • A compliance mindset built for small businesses: NIST thinking plus ISO 27001 style governance

  • Practical deliverables: policies, checklists, evidence, training records, and a roadmap your team can execute

  • Support that keeps the program alive, not a one-time binder

Who I work best with

  • Small businesses with onsite IT that need stronger process and controls

  • Companies handling sensitive data, payments, or client trust

  • Owners who want a calm plan and steady progress, not panic and buzzwords

  • Teams that want to pursue government or enterprise work and need to “prove it”

The simple promise

Training that sticks. Controls that work. A program that evolves your company.

If you want to build security that protects revenue and keeps your operation running, let’s talk.
