Cyber Safety for Real Life
Imagine getting a message that says your bank account is locked, a phone call saying someone you love is in trouble, or an email that looks official and says you must act right now.
For a few seconds, it feels real. That is the danger.
Scammers do not need you to be careless. They only need you to be worried, rushed, tired, distracted, or trying to do the right thing.
Cyber Safety for Real Life is a plain-language class for everyday people who want to feel safer and more confident online. Participants will learn how to spot scam texts, fake phone calls, suspicious emails, fake bank alerts, package delivery scams, IRS-style threats, “account locked” messages, social media scams, marketplace scams, and fake family emergencies.
The class also explains what to do if you click something suspicious, give away information, or think an account may have been compromised.
No technical background is required. The goal is to help people protect their money, their phone, their family, and their peace of mind.
Taught by Justin Bisted, CISSP, FAA Commercial Pilot, and CFII, a cybersecurity professional and technology leader with over 30 years of real-world technology experience. Justin is also an FAA Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument, bringing a calm, practical teaching style to serious safety topics.
